한국 전쟁기 외국인 참전 수기 연구 = A Study on Foreigner``s Korean War Memoirs

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Foreigner``s war memoirs in Korean war period were transnational case which got out of the bounds of the Nation by itself. When compared with the internal Korean war memoirs based on Nationalism, Foreigner``s war memoirs were sticked to the existential aspect of individual and then based on realistic representation and intense desire to record. The statements like ``strange`` and ``incomprehensible`` war, and confession of ``meaningless`` ``indifference`` ``uselessness`` visualized the confusion on justification of war and individual existential difficulty. Their memoirs were written as resistance to being left as ``forgotten being``. The physical and realistic representation refrained from subjective description and analysis restored the detailed ``daily life`` and ``living``, and then reached the multi-faceted descriptin on the scene of war. Also, their memoirs showed the multiple and detailed representation about the other/the same. This study confirmed the psychological basis of the others involved in Korean peninsula, and then maximized heterogeneous possibilities about discourses in Korean war period. In addition, this study re-focused the boundary of ``anti-communism`` and ``nation`` in internal memoirs, through the other``s eyes. That is for restoring the existential zone that was suppressed or omitted in internal memoirs.
