    This study examines early childhood teachers' perception of media and current media education status in kindergartens. Subjects were 16 teachers in Seoul. The data was collected by interview, and were analyzed according to frequency and percentage. This survey results were as following. Although teachers perceived that media have negative effects on young children, they didn't have proper ways to deal with their behaviors. And almost teachers misunderstood 'media education' as 'education through media'. That is the reason that media education is needed. Futhermore the media and media-related activities were searched and collected by teachers' suggestions which were based on developing media education program for young children.
