      Good education of Chinese characters requires good teaching content and effective teaching methods, most of all. This study discussed a need to grow out of the old education of Chinese characters, which used to depend on Seolmunhaeja for the content purposes, and teach the origins of Chinese characters in the inscriptions on bones and tortoise carapaces. The study developed its discussion regarding a need to review different opinions about the interpretation of inscriptions on bones and tortoise carapaces, an issue of converting the perceptions of Hyeongseongja, and the right understanding of Hoiuija. Educational methods were divided into the way of connecting to the radicals of the same lines for explanation, the Chokryubangtong-style method of Chinese character education, that of comparing similar Chinese characters for explanation, that of explaining the meaning changes of Chinese characters and their reasons, and that of explaining by connecting Bonja with Hugija. If the research findings of Chinese characters accumulated in the field of graphonomy are actively used in the education of Chinese characters, it will generate great results.
