북극의 기후 특성 및 기후경관 -스발바르를 사례로- = The Characteristics of Climate and the Climatic Landscape in Arctic: in the Case of Svalbard

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구에서는 스발바르를 사례로 극지방의 기후 특성을 파악하고, 기후가 주변 경관에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 하였다. 스발바르 니알슨과 롱이어빈의 기상관측 자료와 현지답사 자료를 분석하였다.
스발바르의 월평균 기온은 6~9월을 제외한 시기에 영하이며, 월평균 최저기온은 6~8월 사이에만 영상이었고, 최한월은 3월에, 최난월은 7월에 나타났다. 강수량은 건조지역에 해당하는 수준으로 적고, 강수일수보다 강설일수가 더 많다. 연평균 풍속은 4~5m/sec로 극지방에서는 약한 편이다. 다양한 기후 특징 중 주변의 자연·인문경관에 미치는 영향이 큰 것은 한랭한 기온이다. 연구지역에서 볼 수 있는 경관 중 해빙, 빙하, 낮은 응결고도, 주차장의 자동차 전기 충전장치 등 많은 것이 한랭한 기온과 관련된 것이다. 블리자드와 같은 강풍이나 많은 눈과 관련된 경관도 있지만 많지 않았다.
