초등환경교재『환이랑 경이랑 함께 가꾸는 초록 서울』 개발 및 환경소양도 검증

국문 초록 (Abstract)

환경교육에 대한 인식이 크게 부각되면서 서울시와 서울시 교육청이 2009년에 개발한‘환이랑 경이랑 함께 가꾸는 초록 서울’교재는 정규 교과서와 연계하면서 5-10분 분량의 활동지 형태로 개발하여 활용도를 높이도록 하였다. 초등환경교재는 환경소양 증진을 위해 환경감수성, 환경적 지식 등 5개의 목표영역과 물, 대기 등의 8개의 내용영역을 정하여 영역 배치표를 만들고, 이에 따른 환경제재 개발표를 작성하여 개발하였다.
초등환경교재가 학생들의 환경소양도에 얼마나 기여했는지를 생태적 지식 등을 비롯한 8개의 환경 변인을 추출하여 설문 분석하고, 또한 교사들과 면담해 본 결과 환경소양도와 환경에 대한 관심에 미치는 영향이 매우 큰 것으로 나타났다. 향후 개발될 3-6학년용 초등환경교재는 1, 2학년용에 대한 설문조사와 면담 결과를 반영하여 학생들의 환경소양 증진과 민주시민자질 함양에 더욱 기여하도록 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

A teaching material for elementary school elementary ‘Green Seoul Hwan and Gyeong embellish together’ that Seoul si and Seoul Metropolitan Office Of Education developed together in 2009 is composed of worksheet with 5 - 10 minutes and it was designed to be closely connected with regular textbooks and has high utilization. The teaching material for elementary school environment consists of five target domain objectives such as environmental sensitivity and environmental knowledge etc. and eight content areas such as water and atmosphere etc. The teaching material for elementary school environment was developed by making area arrangement tables and environmental material development tables.
A survey on how teaching materials for elementary school environment contributed to environmental literacy of elementary school students was conducted by drawing out eight environment variables including ecological knowledge. In addition, interviews were given to teachers for this study. The result of survey and interviews showed that teaching materials for elementary school environment has a great influence on student’s environmental literacy and interest in environment. It is advisable that teaching materials for elementary school environment targeting elementary school students of grade 3-6 to be developed should reflect the suggestion and result of survey for elementary school students of grade 1-2 and interviews of this study so that students can broaden environmental literacy and promote democratic citizen qualities.
