지방자치단체 특성이 출산율에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 = 수도권 66개 기초자치단체를 중심으로

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study attempts to assess the effect of local government characteristics on fertility. Particularly, this study examines factors, such as public administration?fiscal factors, culture?welfare factors, childcare?education factors. Empirical analysis is carried out with 66 local governments(gu) of the Seoul-Gyeonggi-Incheon. Empirical results indicate that public administration?fiscal factors have a statistically significant positive effect on fertility. Childcare?education factors as well as culture?welfare factors also have a statistically significant positive effect on fertility. This implies that cultural benefits, environmental amenity, fiscal structure local government and economic situation increased fertility rate. This results suggest that childcare?education factors and culture?welfare factors are not less important than cash transfer such as childbirth grant to fertility policy.
