오픈소스 운영 진입장벽 완화를 위한 프로젝트 생성 및 운영 관리 서비스 = Project Generation and Operating Management Service for Mitigating Barriers to Entry into Open Source Operations

국문 초록 (Abstract)

오픈소스 소프트웨어는 소스 코드를 공개하여 제한없이 활용, 수정, 배포가 가능한 소프트웨어를 말한다. 이 연구에서는 오픈소스 기여에 대한 진입장벽이 매우 높다는 점에 착안하여 오픈소스 프로젝트 운영에 필요한 다양한 기능들을 총괄적으로 제공함으로써 프로젝트 시작 및 운영을 돕는 도구인 Open-Set-Go를 개발하였다. 개발한 서비스는 크게 리포지토리 생성, 오픈소스 운영 평가, 오픈소스 가이드라인 제공까지 총 세 가지 기능을 제공한다. 이 서비스는 대학 등 교육기관에서의 프로젝트 기반 소프트웨어 교육에 활용할 수 있다. 특히 소프트웨어 개발에 입문한 개발자들이 오픈소스에 대한 진입 및 기여 기회를 제공함으로써 오픈소스 커뮤니티를 활성화하고 오픈소스 생태계에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Open source software refers to software whose source code is publicly available and can be freely used, modified, and distributed without any restrictions. In this study, we have developed Open-Set-Go, a tool designed to assist in the initiation and operation of open source projects. This tool provides various functions that are essential for the successful operation of such projects, aiming to overcome any barriers that may hinder individuals from starting or contributing to open source initiatives. The service we offer comprises three main functions: creating repositories, evaluating open source operations, and providing open source guidelines. This service can be effectively utilized for project-based software education in universities and other educational institutions. By providing opportunities for newcomers in software development to engage and contribute to open source projects, it is anticipated that this tool will bring renewed vitality to the open source community and contribute to the overall development of the open source ecosystem.
