유아체육 관련용어에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Terms of the Physical Education for Children

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 유아 체육과 관련되어 혼동되거나 혼용되어 사용되고 있는 용어들에 관하여 논의함으로써 유아 체육 지도 및 프로그램 개발에 도움이 되는 기초 자료를 제공하는 데 연구의 목적을 두고 있다. 이 시대의 유아들은 급속하게 변화하는 여러 가지 문화 속에서 비활동적인 생활을 하고 있으며 이는 유아들의 체력을 약화시키는 주원인이 되고 있다. 이로 인해 유아 교육 기관에서는 그 어느 때 보다 유아의 체육 활동에 관한 관심을 고조시키고 있다. 그러나 아직 까지도 유아 체육과 관련 용어들과의 차이점에 대한 이해 부족으로 교사의 지도나 프로그램의 개발을 어렵게 하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 유아 체육 활동과 관련 있는 용어인 놀이와 게임, 동작 교육과 신체 표현 활동에 대해서 알아보았고 유아 체육과의 차이점을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구 결과 체육을 '교육'이라는 모체에서 출발하여 의도적인 계획 하에 이루어지는 활동으로 놀이 활동 자체에 목적을 두고 있는 놀이와는 분명하게 차이를 보이고 있고, 구조적인 특성을 지닌 게임도 유아 체육과는 구별하여 사용되어야 함을 제시하였다. 또한 창의적인 신체 표현 활동을 강조해 온 동작 교육과 신체 표현 활동 역시 유아 체육과 혼용할 수 없음을 밝히고 있다. 이러한 용어에 대한 차이점을 유아 교육 현장에 있는 교사들은 유아 체육의 지도 방법 및 프로그램 개발을 위해서 분명하게 이해해야 하며 이는 유아 체육 발전 방향의 기틀을 마련하는 기초적인 작업이라 사료된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is by investigating some terms related to the physical education for children to indicate the right directions of the physical education for children. Through this study we tried to provide a few of basic data for developing physical education for children by showing teaching methods and programs for the teachers in Kindergarten and Day Care Center.
The physical education for children is a teaching methods for children and a lesson in charge of the field of the health life among the children curriculum. We can classify the contents of the physical education for children into two ways, learning to movement and learning through movement, and be sure that the physical education for children should be composed of the contents included game, dance, gymnastic in the base of the concept of play.
The primary work to do for the development of the physical education is that the teachers should comprehend the works related to the physical education at large. Thus we know now that it is possible to maximize the effect of the physical education for children by teachers' practicing personally the concrete methods of the physical education for children.
