There were studied on the diabetes mellitus, 121 patients, for determination of lipoprotein fractions and serum lipids and to so did as diabetes mellitus with circulatioty complications visiting to the Chunan Soonchunhyang Hospital. The results are obtained as followings:
1. The lipoprotein fractions in diabetes mellitus were shown as :a-LP 30.30 ±7.29%, pre-B-LP 22.94±11.93% and B-LP 46.59±8.59%.
2. Pearson correlation between serum triglyceride and lipoprotein fractions was shown significant, p>0.001, while serum total cholesterol was shown insignificant.
3. To compare between diabetes melitus without and with complication difference between both was not shown significant. While Pearson correlations between lipid and lipoprotein fractions were shown significant except-B-LP.
4. From above results the increments of total cholesterol and triglyceride in diabetes mellitus were prone to have a circulatory complications, and so it must be decrease to within normal limits for avoiding the circulatory complications, if necessary, by therapeutics.
