The positive use of SNS is affecting the global community and it needs to be maintained and developed.
Therefore, analysis of SNS citizenship behavior is required. SNS citizenship behavior is defined as voluntary and pro-social behavior to improve the SNS that users use. This study suggested online social well-being and social interaction ties as factors affecting SNS citizenship behavior based on previous studies. Online social support was proposed as a factor affecting online social well-being and social interaction ties.
Also, we tried to confirm the relationship between online social support and online social well-being through self-esteem. For the empirical analysis of the research model, sample data were collected from 272 SNS users, and the analysis was conducted using SmartPLS, a structural equation modeling tool.
The results showed that online social support affects online social well-being and social interaction ties.
In turn, these two variables influenced SNS citizenship behavior. Self-esteem is influenced by online social support and affects online social well-being. Through research, we have analyzed empirically the research model applicable to comprehensive SNS environment. Based on the results of the research, it is expected to provide various theoretical and practical implications for SNS researchers and practitioners.
