The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics which affect the family resources of the elderly served visiting nursing program. Visiting nursing program started that the low income class is easy to neglect to have proper medical care. Because of accelerated urbanization, the family stress of chronic disease elderly has become one of the most important social problems. Having a direct impact on the burden of caregiving, the family with chronic disease elderly is higher levels of stress. Because the stress situation has a negative effect psychologically and physically, the individual and family members all experience tremendous levels of stress. If the situation continues, the chronic disease elderly may neglect. The data were compiled through a survey of 202 elderly served the visiting nursing program in Asan city, Chungnam. The results were as follows: 1) it was found that he/she had the small the family resource measured by the economic resource and the family size. Comparing the beneficiaries of the visiting nursing program, the elderly who live alone was the most vulnerable. 2) the elderly who live alone obtained the support from the visiting nursing program and he/she felt better in the satisfaction to the program. But the visiting nursing program emphasized the medical service, although the elderly served visiting nursing program had the various welfare needs.
