다문화 가정의 한국어교육 욕구분석 : 예산다문화가족지원센터 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 예산다문화가족지원센터 여성결혼이민자를 대상으로 면접을 통한 실질적인 진술을 바탕으로 다문화가정의 한국어 교육에 대한 욕구를 파악하고 한국어교육 활성화에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하기 위한 연구이다.
연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 다문화 가정의 현황과 여성결혼이민자 및 다문화가정의 주요 문제점과 한국어 교육 현황을 알아보았고, 여성결혼이민자의 한국어 습득과 관계된 애로점과 요구사항을 파악하고, 이들이 한국어 교육을 받는 목적과 만족도를 알아보았다.
연구 방법으로는 다문화가정 여성이민자들을 대상으로 질적 사례연구로 대상자와 일대 일로 접근하는 심층면접 방법을 통한 질적 연구 방법을 사용 하였다.
연구 대상자 예산다문화가족지원센터 여성결혼이민자 20명에 대한 사전 연구를 통해 체류 기간, 연령, 학력, 직업 등을 파악하여 14개 문항의 질문지를 만들었다.
일대 일 심층면담을 통해 한국어를 잘 몰라 생활하는데 어려웠던 점, 한국어 습득과정에서 도움이 된 점, 한국어를 가르쳐 주는 교사에게 바라는 점, 한국어 공부에 대한 요구 사항, 한국어 교육을 받는 목적 및 한국어 교육에 대한 만족도를 알아보았다.
예산지역다문화가족지원센터 여성결혼이민자의 인터뷰 내용을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 여성결혼이민자들이 겪는 가장 큰 어려움은 한국어를 잘 몰라 의사소통이 제대로 되지 않는 것이다.
둘째, 여성결혼이민자들이 한국어를 잘 몰라 겪어야 하는 어려움이 전체적인 삶을 지배하고 있으며, 한국어 습득 과정에서 이들의 욕구 반영이 미흡한 실정이다.
셋째, 한국어 습득은 여성결혼이민자들의 삶을 영위하게 하는 필수적인 도구이다. 한국어교육에 대한 요구 사항으로 다양한 한국 사람들과의 많은 대화를 원하고 있으며, 이들과 반복해서 대화를 진행하는 기회를 제공해주기 바라고 있다.
넷째, 여성결혼이민자들은 결혼생활 적응 못지않게 남편과의 문화에 대한 차이를 호소하고 있다. 이질적인 문화를 가진 사람들이 결혼을 통해 가정을 이루고 생활하게 되면서 문화적 갈등을 겪고 있으며, 상호 문화 차이를 이해하고 실천 하려는 노력과 시간을 필요로 하고 있다.
다섯째, 여성결혼이민자들은 가부장적 사회에서 살아온 남편의 사고방식에 대한 어려움을 호소하고 있다. 여성과 남성의 역할에 대한 차이, 남성 중심의 가부장제에 대한 고정관념 탈피와 양성평등에 대한 사회 문화의 확산을 요구하고 있다.
위의 연구 결과를 토대로 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다.
첫째, 다문화가정의 문제점은 언어 장벽으로 인한 의사소통의 어려움, 문화 차이, 가정생활 및 가정 폭력 등인데 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위한 전문적 프로그램 개발 및 전담조직을 필요로 하고 있다.
둘째, 여성결혼이민자들에 대한 한국어 교육은 아직 미흡한 실정이나 생활언어 및 한국의 문화교육 등은 과거에 비해 효율적으로 이루어지고 있다.
셋째, 여성결혼이민자들의 효과적인 한국어 습득을 위한 욕구를 해결하기 위해 체계적이고 현실적이며 실생활에 도움이 되는 효과적인 한국어 교육 방식이 도입되어야 한다.
끝으로 여성결혼이민자들이 한국어 습득을 효율적으로 실현하기 위한 방안 중의 하나로 한국사회를 이해하는데 도움이 되는 다양한 평생학습 기회가 지속적으로 제공되어야 하겠다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is to understand needs for Korean education of multicultural families and to provide the basic materials required to active Korean education based on actual statement by interviewing subjects who are women of married immigrants in Yesan multicultural families support center.
To achieve purposes of the study, it searches the status of multicultural families, main problem of women of married immigrants & multicultural families, and the status of Korean education, then difficulties and requirements related to learn Korean language.
The method is used qualitative research by in-depth interviews approached man to man as qualitative cases for subjects who are women of married immigrants in multicultural families.
The questionnaire with 14 questions is made by understanding staying period, age, education, and job for subjects who are 20 women of married immigrants in Yesan multicultural families support center by pre-research. By in-depth interviews approached man to man, it finds to be difficult by a poor Korean language, to be helped learning a Korean language, to hope to Korean teacher, to need for education a Korean language, to purpose to study a Korean language and to satisfy for Korean education.

Results analyzed interviews for women of married immigrants in Yesan multicultural families support center are as follows;
Firstly, the largest difficult of women of married immigrants cannot communicate very well because of unfamiliar Korean language.
Secondly, its difficulty is related to the entire life between women of married immigrants, also the course learning a Kroean language is poor to be reflected their needs currently.
Thirdly, Learning a Korean language is a essential tool to lead their life. They want to do large conversation with various Korean people and to provide a chance to keep conversation repeatedly if educate a Korean language.
Fourthly, they complains the difference for culture with their husbands as well as married life. They suffer cultural conflict by making and living a family through marring people with different cultures, are required time and effort to understand and to act the difference of mutual cultures.
Fifthly, they state difficulties for their husbands' way of thinking who has lived in the patriarchal society. They ask to remove stereotyped for the difference for roles both women and men and the patriarchal system centered on men, to expand social culture for equality between genders.

The find is lead as follows by based on results of the above study
Firstly, problems of multicultural families are poor communication with other language, the difference of cultures, family life, and family violence, they is required to develop the professional program and responsible bodies for solving these problems.
Secondly, Korean education is poor for women of married immigrants, but the language of life and education for Korean culture is conducted to be efficient than the past.
Thirdly, it has to be introduced the effective method for Korean education which is systemic, actual, and effective to real life to solve needs for leaning a effective Korean language.
Finally, it has to be continuously provided chances of various lifelong education which is helped to understand Korean society as one of the plan to learn a Korean language effectively.
