다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract) kakao i 다국어 번역

The Amnokgang by Park Seonseok, a novel serially published on Jangbaeksan for five years, reappeared the turbulent history of a five generation family’s ordeals in the center of upheavals in East Asia. This paper first discusses the deaths of characters in literature in East Asia with a focus on the death which appeared several times in The Amnokgang, and then analyzes the author’s problematic narratives on the historical background. The deaths of characters in The Amnokgang can be classified as resistant death, wrongful death, ideological death, and violent death. It is likely to name the narratives about the historical context that incurred so many deaths as problematic. It’s because the author fully showed the politics and destructiveness that broke the official taboo and made classic literature quaint by recurring the Minsaengdan Incident, Land Reform, and the Chinese Civil War as a historical context.
