생태적 감수성 함양을 위한 생태교육 방법 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

오늘날 인류는 생태 위기의 심각성에 대해 그 어느 때보다 절실히 실감하고 있다. 코로나19를 겪으며 지구촌이 하나로 연결되어 있음을 다시금 깨달았고, 생태 위기 극 복을 위한 행동이 실행에 옮겨져야만 한다는 당위성을 받아들이게 되었다. 하지만, 우 리의 라이프 스타일을 단기간에 바꾸지 못하고 있다. 생태 위기의 시대를 살아가며 더 심각한 위기에 봉착하지 않으려면, 인류는 즉각적 이고 강도 높은 행동의 변화를 만들어야 한다. 생태 위기의 시대를 살아가면서 우리 에게 가장 필요한 것은 무엇일까? 생태적 변화를 위해서는 생태 소양이 필요하고 그 생태 소양 중 중요한 요소가 바로 생태적 감수성이라고 할 수 있다. 생태적 감수성은 자연을 추구하고, 자연으로부터 생명을 발견하고 느끼는 감성적 능력, 즉 인간이 자연 에 대해 가지는 관심과 호기심, 사랑을 가지고 바라보며 공감하는 정서적 태도라고 할 수 있다. 또한 기독교적 가치관은 생태적 감수성을 이해하는데 기초를 제공해 주고 있는데, 기독교는 하나님의 창조 세계관을 기반으로 하고 있으며, 자연을 하나님의 창조 세계 로 이해한다. 이는 생태계를 바라보는 데 있어 근원적인 경외감을 제공해 줄 수 있으며, 창조된 세계는 인간의 소유가 아닌 인간을 포함하는 모든 창조된 세계가 하나님 께 속해 있음을 알려줄 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 생태 위기를 극복하기 위해 생태적 감수성 함양의 중요성을 인 식하고, 생태적 감수성 함양을 위한 생태교육의 방법을 제안함을 목적으로 한다. 먼저 생태교육에 있어 생태적 감수성의 중요성을 성찰하고 생태교육의 방법으로서의 체험 적 교육의 필요성을 주장한다. 이를 위해서 기존의 언어 중심의 교육에서 벗어나 생 태적 감수성 함양을 위한 다양한 체험적 생태교육의 방법을 제안하고 있다. 구체적인 생태교육방법으로는 생태 현장으로의 필드트립 및 성찰보고서 작성하기, 특정 지역의 생태지도 만들기, 새싹 채소 키우기 및 관찰 일지 기록하기, 생태 동화 읽기와 연관 활동하기, 보드게임과 같은 생태 놀이를 활용한 생태교육의 방법을 제안 함으로써, 생태 위기를 넘어서기 위한 삶의 방식의 변화를 일으킬 수 있는 생태교육 을 지향하고자 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Today, humanity is more acutely aware of the severity of the ecological crisis than ever before. Experiencing COVID-19 has reminded us of how interconnected our world is and has led to the acceptance of the necessity for actions to overcome the ecological crisis. However, we are struggling to change our lifestyles in a short period of time. Living in an age of ecological crisis, to avoid more severe crises, humanity must create immediate and intense changes in behavior. What is most needed while living through this era of ecological crisis? To foster ecological change, ecological literacy is necessary, and a key element of this literacy is ecological sensitivity. Ecological sensitivity can be defined as an emotional ability to seek nature, discover life from nature, and feel – it is the interest, curiosity, and love for nature that humans hold, and an empathetic attitude that encompasses these feelings. Furthermore, Christian values provide a foundation for understanding ecological sensitivity. Christianity is based on the view of God's creation, understanding nature as part of God's created world. This understanding can offer a fundamental sense of awe when viewing ecosystems, and remind us that the created world, including humanity, belongs to God, not as a possession of humans. Therefore, this study aims to recognize the importance of cultivating ecological sensitivity in overcoming the ecological crisis and suggests methods of ecological education for fostering ecological sensitivity. It reflects on the importance of ecological sensitivity in ecological education and argues for the necessity of experiential education as a method of ecological education. To achieve this, it proposes various experiential methods of ecological education that move beyond traditional language-focused education to foster ecological sensitivity. Specific methods of ecological education include field trips to ecological sites and writing reflective reports, creating ecological maps of specific areas, growing and observing sprout vegetables and keeping a journal, reading ecological fairy tales and engaging in related activities, and using ecological games like board games as a method of ecological education. Through these methods, the study aims to promote a change in lifestyle to overcome the ecological crisis.
