A personal verification system by fingerprint has been developed. The verification process consist of two step : the global matching by ridge direction data in subregions, and the local matching by minutiae data.
Using the ridge direction data in addition to the minutiae data makes image resistration easy. and selection of minutiae pairs correct.
The experimental results show that both faise reject and false accept errr rates are as well as 0.1%.
