호텔 식음료 직원의 감성지능이 직무성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purposes of this study were to understand the influence of staff`s emotional intelligence in the deluxe hotel F&B department upon the job performance and to suggest a desirable direction for hotel human resource management. To measure emotional intelligence, this study adapted WLEIS model based on the work of Wong & Law(2002). Job performance was measured using the 3 factors(job role, team role, and organization role) of RBPS model. A total of 262 employees participated in this empirical research. The review of the literature described the background for emotional intelligence and job performance of service employees. The emotional intelligence consists of understanding the self` emotion, understanding other people` emotions, emotion utilization, and emotion control. Job performance of service employees includes job role, team role, and organization role. This study utilized frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis to test research hypotheses. Research results can be summarized as follows. First, only emotion utilization had a significantly positive effect on job role. Second, emotion utilization, understanding the self` emotion, and understanding other people` emotions had significant positive effects on team role. Finally, understanding the self` emotion and emotion utilization had significant positive effects on organization role. The results of this study help to contribute academically and practically to advancing hotel management.
