다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study focuses on the feminist criticizing to the concept of security in the traditional international relations theory. In this respect, the study deals with how women and security are related each other, and how gender reformulates the traditional international relations. Firstly, this study focuses on the gendered critique of the key concept of IR, 'power,' 'nation-state,' 'dichotomy,' and 'the scientific research method' in which, some feminist believes, the identity of masculinity are underlayered. Secondly, this study concentrates on the relationships between peace study and feminist IR. Especially, the feminist think that the essentialist approaches to making connection between peace and women should be criticized because of their accepting gendered dichotomy and neglecting the chance of women's empowerment. Thirdly, this study works on the way of how feminist IR theory is deconstruct and reconstruct the idea of security, in which feminist IR theorists try to make the security concept deeper, broader and extender. Another front, this study picks also up several obstacles, when feminist IR theorists formulate feminist IR theory. Overall, the main concern of this study is feminist's critique, deconstruction and reconstruction of security in the traditional IR theory.
