조선 전기 시위부에 대한 사적 고찰 - 겸사복과 향화인을 중심으로 - = A Study on the History of Royal Guard of Early Chosun Dynasty

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Purpose: This study was based on the papers related to Kyeomsabok that made important parts for founding Chosun and stabilizing the political situation, and Naturalized citizen, the members of Kyeomsabok. Conclusion: Because every power was concentrated on the king in Chosun, Royal Guard roles that guarded the king were very important. Royal Guard member were also hired through some special test. In the begining of Chosun, Royal Guard consisted of Naturalized citizen despite a chaotic state of affair from politics, economy, and society. And they were given some economic advantages and the chance to raise their status. The special policy for Naturalized citizen replaced National Defense and expended the territory. And thanks to the policy, Chosun could get some benefits when it comes to the international situation. Just as creatively accepting Naturalized citizen and building a new tradition in early Chosun, we can also accomplish genuine globalization and extent security business to the world by studying the policy for Naturalized citizen and Kyeomsabok.
