In conclusion, the betterment of mankind in the future largely depends on international cooperation. In halting and rolling back rising protectionism, increasing interest rates and oil prices, we should work hard both bilaterally and as a group. Based on the principle of mutual benefit, freer flow of goods, easier terms of capital and oil, and transfer of advanced technology and know-how among nations must be pursued.
The inevitable trend toward increasing interdependence dictates that the future well-being of mankind be based on cooperation between open economies, not a narrow and destructive competition between would-be autarchies with rising nationalism and biases.
