On Korea Highway, most widening bridges are constructed by using a closure placement after 90 days from placing the new deck. According to the ACI-345.2R-ll, if differential deflection between the old and new structure is less than 6㎜, cast-in-place concrete construction without a closure placement could be used. In this study, differential deflection for 30M PSCI bridge are measured for the application of cast-in-place concrete construction without a closure placement. The differential deflection between old and new girder due to new deck concrete placement is much less than 6.O㎜. Therefore this method could be applied and it will be save the construction period and cost.
