심리적 외상에 대한 인터넷 매개 글쓰기 치료의 효과: 사례 연구 = The Effects of an Internet-Mediated Writing Therapy on Psychological Trauma: A Case Study

Two women suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder participated in internet-mediated structured writing therapy. Internet-mediated writing therapy consists of structured writing assignments based on cognitive-behavioral therapy and focuses on self-confrontation, cognitive reappraisal, and meaning construction. Participants were given one or two weekly 30-minute writing assignments and received further instruction at the end of each phase. One participants was a domestic violence victim, and the other was sexually abused by her father. Both of them met the criteria specified in the DSM-Ⅳ. From baseline to post therapy assessment, symptoms of PTSD, depression, and anxiety improved. Three possible explanations were discussed about the effects of the internet-mediated writing therapy. A future study with a larger sample size and follow-up are needed to confirm the efficacy of the Internet-mediated writing therapy.
