칼빈신학의 특징과 한국개혁신학의 과제 -『기독교 강요』의 저작동기와 원천자료에 대한 분석을 중심으로 = The Characteristics of John Calvin`s Theology and the Tasks of Reformed Theology

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In this study, I attempted to explore briefly the characteristics of John Calvin`s theology, especially focusing on the writing purposes and the theological sources of his Magnum Opus, Institutes of the Christian Religion, and the main tasks of the Reformed theology in this century. First of all, concerning the writing purposes, I pointed out four main things: (1) a statement of the basic reformed doctrines, (2) an apology of the Reformed faith, (3) a loci communes for a right reading of the Holy Bible, and (4) a summa pietatis for all of true Christians coram Deo. More briefly, it can be summarized as follows: (1) confessional motive, (2) apologetic motive, (3) theological motive, and (4) spiritual motive. In addition, for Calvin`s theology, it is also true that nothing can come out from a vacuum. For Calvin`s theology, the main theological sources are the followings: (1) the Holy Bible, the Word of God as the norm of all authorities, (2) the Ancient Church Fathers and the some important Medieval theologians, (3) his contemporary Reformers (e.g., Martin Luther, Philip Melanchton, Urlich Zwingli, Martin Bucer, William Farel, Heinrich Bullinger, Paul Viret, John Knox, Theodore Beza, etc.), and (4) the classical philosophy and Renaissance Humanism.
