When King Dan jong, too young to rule the nation. succeed to the throne from king Mun jong, the power of the officials grew greater and greater than that of the king, which consequently put the Yi dynasty in a serious danger to existence.

To save such a fragile dynasty, one of king Dan jong's uncles prince suyang who was the eldest, the most intelligent and determined, raised a successful coup detat Kae you- Jungran.

Though there were a few rebellions against him after he took over the throne by means of violence, we should not neglect his achievements and efforts, which have been kept under the dark shadow until now, in order to save and secure the throne as well as the nation.
