그룹홈 거주 자폐성장애 성인자녀가 일반가정에서 보이는 어머니와의 부정적 상호작용에 관한 참여관찰 = A Participant Observation on the Negative Interaction with His Mother at Family Home of Adult with Autism Spectrum Disorders Living at Group Home

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 그룹홈에 거주하는 자폐성장애 성인자녀가 일반가정에서 어머니에게 보이는 부정적 상호작용의 현상을 살펴보는 데 그 목적이 있다. 연구 참여자는 S시 복지관의 그룹홈
에 거주하는 자폐성장애의 남자 성인 한 명이며, 이 참여자는 주말을 이용하여 일반가정을 방문하고 있다. 본 연구는 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 질적 연구의 한 가지 기법인 참여관찰
을 적용하였다. 이런 참여관찰은 어머니 면담과 연구 참여자의 그룹홈 생활 참관이 포함된 예비연구와 함께 실시되었다. 참여관찰은 1.5년간 실시되었으며, 장기간 동안 참여관찰이 단
순 반복된 형태로 실시되는 한계를 최소화하기 위해 예비관찰, 집중관찰, 추수관찰과 같은 체계적인 절차기술을 사용하였다. 그 결과, 연구 참여자는 6가지(소아적 의존 현상, 집착 현
상, 책임전가 현상, 성적 행동문제 현상, 고립 현상, 불안 현상)의 현상으로 일반가정에서 어머니에게 부정적 상호작용을 보였다. 그리고 위 6가지 현상은 어느 한 현상이 크게 높거나
낮지 않고 연구 참여자의 일반가정의 일과 중에 고르게 관찰되었다. 또한, 이런 6가지 현상은 연구 참여자가 기본적으로 자신의 선호나 요구를 충족하기 위해 고집을 부리거나 떼를
쓰는 주요 수단으로서 공통점을 가지고 있었다. 이런 결과는 그룹홈과 일반가정의 연계에 기반을 둔 자폐성장애학생의 자립생활훈련프로그램을 구성하고 실행하는 데 필요한 기초자료
로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The present study aims to explore the negative interaction with his mother at family home adult with autism spectrum disorders living at group home. The participant studied is an adult with autism spectrum disorders, who lives at a
group home in a welfare center in ‘S’ city and visit his family home on the weekends. For this purpose, a participant observation, a qualitative method, was
conducted together with a preliminary study including the interview with the mother and observation the participant’s life in the group home. The participant observation has been conducted for about 1.5 years, and systematic procedural methods, such as preliminary observation, focused observation, follow-up observation,
in order to minimize the problems that a long-term participant observation simply becomes the repetition of the same observational contents. This study discovered
that the participant showed six types of negative interactions(infantile dependency, obsession, imputation of responsibility, sexual uncleanliness, isolation, and anxiety)
with the mother at family home, and those six types were evenly observed during the life at the family home. These six types were common in that they are main ways of insisting for the satisfaction of his needs or desire. These results will contribute to the guidance to the successful conditions under which adults with autism spectrum disorders living at group home can improve their abilities for
independent living.
