프랑스 고전수사학 독본의 해제와 분석 - 17세기 수사학(웅변술) 원리와 체계 양상을 중심으로- = Explanations and Analysis on the Classic French Rhetoric’s Reading Books - Focused on Rhetorical Principles and Systems of the 17th century-

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is to observe the diverse rhetorical principles of 17th century and its transitional phases of systems through explaining and analysing a classical rhetoric’s reading books in France. Thus we inquired into the concepts of the 17th century’s rhetoric and oratory in traditional and original concepts. Also we revalued the important elements of the 17th rhetoric as style(figure and trope) of the 17th century, and watched the arguments for and against rhetoric in the school education system, and the ‘bon usage’. These recherches are the focus of the topographies and directions in the 17th century’s rhetoric.
To close this study, our remark to note is that 17th century’s rhetoric will be able to complement the research trend since the 20th century in Korea. Because this study for the principles and the phases of system in the 17th century’s rhetoric will only the chance to check and to re-establish the identities and values ​​of true rhetoric.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 17세기 프랑스의 주요 수사학 독본들을 해제, 분석함으로써 고전수사학의 원리와 규칙체계의 변화에 관한 제 문제를 파악하는데 있다. 이를 위해 고대 및 중세세대의 수사학이 프랑스 고전수사학의 동향이나 학설의 진입변수로써 어떠한 역할을 하였으며, 고대 및 중세 수사학자들에 의해 정립된 17세기 수사학 또는 웅변술의 구성요소 및 유형 체계가 당시의 언어관, 문예사조, 어법 및 언어규범의 발전에 얼마만큼 영향을 미쳤는가라는 점에 착안하여 17세기 프랑스 수사학자들이 제공한 중요한 사상과 논거들을 비교·관찰했다. 본 논문은 수사학과 웅변술 개념, 수사학의 주요 구성요소, 수사학의 찬반논쟁, 올바른 관용어법과 언어규범 등을 주제로 삼아 17세기 프랑스 수사학의 지형을 살펴보고 지향하는 바를 조망했다. 이러한 연구는 당대의 언어관, 철학적 사유, 문학이론 등과 같은 실질적인 지식분류 체계를 재정립하는데 일조할 수 있으며, 또한 국내에서 활발하게 연구하고 있는 20세기 수사학 연구(신수사학, 현대수사학)에 미친 17세기 프랑스 수사학 연구의 정체성과 가치를 확인하는 기회가 될 것이다.
