축제를 통한 지역 정체성 운동 = 서유럽의 사례

The aim of this thesis is the analysis of phenomena of the public feast movements in the contemporary european cities. At first, I tried to work out on the notion of the identity of group and mechanism of identification in the field of regional movement. I suggest, for better understanding, two streamlines of regional identity movement of conceptional and practical modern french ways and german ways and similar cases of neighbouring countries like Swiss and Belgium, Then I related these regional movements and upcoming anti-rational movement through the recent process of the public feast movement in western Europe. For the examples of real case study, I suggest here actual procedure of three different urban celebrations in Europe; in France, La Feria de Nimes, the carnival of Dunkerque and in Spain, the Merce feast (festa major) of Barcelona. In theses parts, my object is to analyse the influences of regional movement, anti-rationalism, and tourism movement as the constructive elements in held the public feasts on the road and in the urban society, by the analyses of their programmes and procedures. For conclusion, I tried to estimate coming direction of public feasts movements in the urban areas and their influences in the post-modern urban society as a new paradigm in social transformation.
