기업의 지속성과 창의적 속성 간의 관계에 대한 탐색적 연구 = Explorative Study about Relationship between Firm's Sustainability and Attributes of Creativity

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 경영학계와 기업실무에서 최근 주목받고 있는 창의성과 기업의 지속성, 즉 장기적 생존 가능성과의 관계를 개방형 혁신(Open Innovation) 관점을 도입하여 파악하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 기업의 장기적 생존을 주제로 하는 기존 연구에서 다양한 성공 요인들을 제시하고 있지만, 창의성 관점에의 성공 요인에 대한 접근은 상대적으로 찾아보기가 힘들다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기존 연구에서 정의한 창의성의 개념을 재정리하고, 창의성과 기업의 지속성과의 관계를 3,400개의 국내 중소기업을 대상으로 한 "2011년 중소기업 기술통계조사" 자료를 활용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 외부 협력의 대상들이 다양하고 신기술의 신규성과 유용성이 클수록 기업의 지속성을 증대시키는 효과를 보였으나, 과도한 신규성은 기업의 지속성을 저해하는 결과를 보였다. 따라서 기업의 지속성을 위하여서는 다양한 외부협력 및 조직의 창의성 관리의 필요성과 중요성을 인지할 필요가 있음을 시사하고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Major purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship between creativity, which has been recently highly focused from both academic and field, and firms' sustainability with open innovation point of view. There are many previous research about firms' sustainability, but it is relatively hard to find sustainability from the perspective of creativity. Therefore, this study re-defined the concept of creativity and analyzed the relationship based on a multi-regression analysis of 3,400 small and medium-sized firms in Korea. We found that high degree of partners' diversity and new technologies' both novelty and usefulness are positively associated with firms' sustainability. However, we also found that a moderate level of novelty is positively associated with firms' sustainability whereas excessive novelty are not helpful. We emphasize the importance the creativity based on proper novelty and usefulness as well as diversity in order to sustain firms' longevity.
