The purpose of this study is to produce a high add value product called artificial zeolite by physical and chemical processing of coal fly ash in order to achieve the effective utilization of waste and environmental preservation. The synthesis of zeolite was carried out under the various conditions which were changing of NaOH concentration, reaction time, various temperature. The experimental result was stable and satisfactory for the FAU zeolite when the coal fly ash was synthesized with 4.0 M NaOH for 36 hr at 80℃. And also the adding effect of various salts was investigated for the economic zeolite synthesis from waste fly ash. In the case of adding small cations such as NaCl and MgCl_2 the enhancement of crystallinity was observed.
