여성노인 사중고(四重苦: 빈곤, 질병, 고독, 무위)의 스트레스인지 영향 및 대처자원의 매개효과 = The Effect of Four Hardships(Poverty, Disease, Loneliness, Rolelessness) on the Perceived Stress and Mediating Effect of the Coping Resources of Older Women

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 노인의 어려움으로 대표되는 사중고(四重苦: 빈곤, 질병, 고독, 무위)가 여성노인들의 스트레스인지에 영향을 미치는가 및 대처자원이 매개효과가 있는가를 파악하기 위한 것이다. 본 연구의 대상은 대구, 경북지역에 거주하는 60세 이상 여성노인 304명이다. 연구방법은 인구학적인 특성에 따른 스트레스원, 대처자원, 스트레스인지의 차이를 보기위해 ANOVA와 t-test를 사용하였고 ANOVA의 경우 집단 간 차이가 있을 경우 Fisher LSD를 사용하여 사후검증을 하였다. 스트레스원의 스트레스인지에의 영향 및 대처자원의 매개효과를 파악하기위해 다중회귀분석을 사용하였다. 매개효과분석은 Baron과 Kenney(1986)의 3단계 회귀분석 방법을 사용하였다. 연구결과에 의하면 연령에 따라 고독감과 역할없음에 유의한 차이를 보이고 있으며 교육수준에 따라 경제적 어려움, 고독감과 역할없음에 차이를 보이고 있다. 또한 생활수준에 따라 경제적 어려움과 고독감에 차이를 보이고 있으며 배우자유무에 따라서 경제적 어려움, 고독감과 역할없음에도 차이를 보이고 있다. 인구학적 특성에 따른 인지적 사회적 지지와 스트레스인지는 연령에 따라 스트레스인지의 차이가 없음을 제외하고는 모두 유의미한 차이를 보이고 있다. 통제변인 중 수발은 유일하게 여성노인의 스트레스인지에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 요소로 나타났다. 여성노인의 사중고는 스트레스인지에 모두 유의미하게 영향을 미쳤으며 영향 정도는 고독감, 만성질환, 경제적 어려움, 역할없음의 순서였다. 대처자원 중 인지적 사회적 지지는 스트레스원의 스트레스인지에 대한 매개효과를 나타내고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examines whether the four hardships of older women affect their perceived stress and the mediating effect of the coping resources. The older women's perception of stressors may depend on the demographic and coping variables. The target population of this study is women who are older than 60 and reside in Daegu and Kyungbuk province. The sample size of this study is 304. To examine hardships and coping differences by demographic variables, ANOVA and t-test are used. When using ANOVA, if F test is significant, Fisher LSD is used. To test the effects of stressors, hierarchical multiple regressions are used. For testing mediating effect, Baron and Kenny's(1986) three steps multiple regressions are used. Research results show there are statistically significant differences of four hardships by age, education and income status. Depending on whether there is a spouse or not, there are significant differences of economic strain, loneliness and rolelessness. Also there are significant differences of perceived social support and perceived stress by demographic variables. All four hardships of older women affect the perceived stress. The degree of affectedness on the perceived stress are isolation, chronic disease, economic stress and rolelessness in order. The perceived social support has a mediating effect on the perceived stress.
