합리적 의사 결정을 위한 인과의 일반화에 대한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 두 가지다. 첫째, 일반화된 인과 주장의 모호성을 해결할 수 있는 진리 조건을 찾는 것이다. 둘째, 일반화된 인과 주장이 합리적인 의사 결정에 유용한 정보가 되려면 어떤 기준(조건)들이 필요한지 찾는 것이다. 이 연구는 일반화된 인과 주장의 의미 및 진리에 대한 엄밀한 해명으로 인과 구조를 보다 정확히 이해할 수 있게 도울 것이다. 또한 이 연구는 합리적 의사 결정 이론 뿐 아니라 인과를 토대로 판단, 추론, 실험을 하는 여러 분야의 이론을 보다 발전시키고, 인과적 추론 및 인과적 설명을 위한 모형을 설계하는 데에 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

I have two goals for this research. First, I shall find truth conditions that meet the problem of vagueness with causal generalizations. Second, I shall find what type of causal generalizations guides an agent to make a rational decision. My research is expected to help us explicate causal structure in terms of rigorously analyzing meaning and truth of causal general statements. It is also expected to help us not only develop decision theory in terms of the concept of causality but also design versatile models of causal inferences and causal explanation.
