여성의 장소와 남성의 장소 ╶ 청계천 사례를 중심으로╶ = Women’s Place and Men’s Place ╶ A Case Study on Cheonggyecheon╶

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 공공공간인 청계천을 대상으로 ‘앉음’이라는정적인 행위가 성별에 따라 어떤 차이가 발생하는지 고찰함으로 성별을 고려한 공간설계 요소는 무엇인지 도출하고자 한다. 연구방법은 이동촬영을 통해 영상 속 확인되는 사람들의 점유 지점을 정보로 행태지도를 활용하였다. 행태지도는 ArcGIS의 ‘Cluster & Outlier Analysis’ 통해 앉음의 행위가 발생하는 하나의 공간 단위인 행태의 장을 도출하고자 하였다. 본 연구 결과로 23개의 앉음의 행위가 발생되는 행태의 장들이 도출되었고, 성별에 따라 다른 양상이 확인되었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper uses a public space, Cheonggyecheon, in Seoul, Korea, to identify gender-specific usage patterns of space and the phenomena by gender of the physical sitting types therein. The research methodology was observation-based so that sub-behaviour settings there could be studied. Behaviour mapping and video-recording observation were the research tools employed. Use of the space by different genders was analyzed and ‘Cluster & Outlier Analysis’ was used to show behaviour settings. The study identified five major- and 23 sub-types of sitting settings within the site. The paper identifies the sorts of sitting settings to show gender differences and gender design issues.
