In this study local & foreign display examples using soft sculpture in department stores were surveyed and studied the aftereffect to the marketing if it is applied in the form of art marketing, and aimed to present a development plan upon raising the problems the present status of the display at department store through comparison with examples with local and foreign cases. First, the displays of depart stores in our country are simple and combines mainly display item with textile props in general, whereas various other countries renders symbolic representations of image by using colorful & variety objects. Second, many overseas department store provides strong image of their respective store to be made whole store as single concept with existing story line having subject being added by artistic factors whereas local department stores showed focusing on mainly item display. In case of Hyundai department store, under single concept, show-windows as well as room interior display are unified intending to be made as point image. However, it indicated that to make image appeal to consumers lacks visual elements and also had limited presentation method. Third, at present the era of simple display in store has gone as such in the display it requires using various materials and techniques as a means of sales promotion, however, department stores in our country still lacks the utilization of such means. In terms of using textile material, it can be presented with different textures but instead of using textile it indicates of using more other materials.
