학교 밖 청소년의 직업훈련 참여경험에 관한 질적 연구: 내일이룸학교를 중심으로 = A Qualitative Study on the Experience of Participation in Vocational Training for Out-of-School Youth : Focusing on Naeil Irum School

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to explore the experience of vocational training for out-of-school youths and provide with implications and basic data to suggest a suitable vocational training operational system. To this end, we conducted in-depth interviews with 7 graduates, 8 dropouts and 38 students from Naeil Irum School in regards to the motive for job training they experienced and the adaptation and maladjustment experience in the training process. The collected data were analyzed using the Consensual Qualitative Research(CQR) analytical method, resulting in 6 areas(motivation for application, drop-out, vocational training and other program participation, and life management) and 14 sub-categories. Trainees faced inconsistencies between interest and aptitude, poor facility environment, strict living rules, and the burden of excessive program. However, some overcame crisis through teachers' support and benefits of the school. Based on the results of this study, we suggested to improve admission motivation, strengthen search for interests and aptitude when selected, provide field customized training programs, quality character education programs and strengthen systematic academic support, post-adjustment support etc.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 학교 밖 청소년의 직업훈련 경험을 탐색하여 이들에게 적합한 직업훈련 운영체계 마련을 위한 시사점 및 기초자료를 제공함에 있다. 이를 위해 내일이룸학교 졸업생 7명, 중도탈락생 8명, 재학훈련생 38명을 대상으로 그들이 경험한 직업훈련 동기와 훈련과정에서의 적응 및 부적응 경험에 대해 심층면접을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 합의적 질적분석방법(Consensual Qualitative Research: CQR)으로 분석하였으며, 그 결과 6개의 영역(지원동기, 중도탈락경험, 직업훈련 및 기타 프로그램 참여경험, 생활관리 경험)과 그에 따른 14개의 하위 범주를 도출하였다. 학교 밖 청소년은 훈련직종에 대한 흥미와 적성의 불일치, 열악한 시설환경 및 엄격한 생활규칙에 대한 불만, 과도한 프로그램 부담 등의 어려움을 겪었으며, 이는 중도탈락의 원인이 되기도 하였으나, 일부는 교사들의 관심과 지원, 직업훈련기관의 혜택 등을 통해 위기를 극복하기도 하였다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 학교 밖 청소년 대상의 직업훈련과정 개선을 위해 다음의 몇 가지 제안을 하였다. 즉 입학동기 향상, 선발시 흥미와 적성 탐색 강화, 현장 맞춤형 훈련과정 개설, 내실있는 인성·교양 프로그램 운영 및 체계적인 학업지원, 시설환경 개선 및 사후적응 지원 강화 등이다.
