문명과 제국을 통해서 본 동아시아 국가들의 개발 경로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 글에서는 문명과 제국의 형성과 개발을 통해서 동아시아 국가들의 개발 경로를 살펴보았다. 먼저 개발 범주와 영향 정도를 살펴보았다. 아시아 국가들 간의 관계는 문화공간의 형성에 대한 인식이 중요하다고 보았다. 특히 동아시아가 지닌 해양 기반의 반도적 지리적 위치는 큰 문명을 수용하면서도 독자적인 문화를 유지하는 유리한 조건임을 살펴보았다. 일반적으로 동아시아 국가들은 농업국가, 상업국가의 경향을 가지고 있으며 상호 유기적인 관련성 속에서 특성을 보여왔다. 동북아시아 여러 지역국가들은 중국문명의 영향을 받았지만 그 시간적 범주나 성격이 다르며, 위성문화적 성격을 가지고 있으면서 각기 독자적인 성격도 가지고 있다. 동아시아에서 제국은 세계제국(World empires), 지역제국, 지방제국(Regional empires) 및 하위 지역제국(Sub-regional empires)으로 분류된다. 한편 각 국가의 개발에 경제가 중요한 역할 및 필수적인 바탕이지만 정부의 개발 및 형성은 경제만을 의존하는 것이 아니라 종교의 철학적 지혜나 사회문화적 요소 등 다양한 기능들을 종합한다. 동아시아에서 수천년 동안 보존 전승되어 온 문화유산들은 제국의 빛과 그림자, 왕조의 번영과 쇠망에 대해 상기시켜주는 거울이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study has its purpose on figuring out the development processes of East Asian countries by the formation and development of civilizations and empires. First of all, the study looks into the development ranges and the rate of their impacts.
The study considers it is important to the understanding of the formation of cultural space in the relation among Asian countries. Especially, the study confirms it has advantageous terms to accept great civilizations and also maintain independent cultures to the peninsular geographical location based on marine what East Asia has.
Generally, East Asian countries has tendencies as cultural and industrial countries, and has shown characteristics in the mutually organic relevance. Many local countries in East Asia were influenced by Chinese civilization, but its temporal categories or characteristics are different and each country has its own characteristics. East Asian Empires could be divided into world, local, regional, and sub-regional empires.
Economy, by the way, makes an important role and essential base to develop each country. However, the formation and development of governments don"t depend on only economy, but integrate various functions like philosophical wisdom of religion or socio-cultural factor.
Conclusionally, the cultural heritages to have been preserved and transmitted in East Asia over thousands years could be said to mirror to remind the light and shadow of empires and the rise and fall of dynasties.
