The purpose of this study was to discover structure of cross sectional life experience among North Korean women refugees. The present research examined data collected from in-depth interviews and 5 North Korean women refugees were recruited. The method for the analysis was based on the phenomenological research method introduced by Giorgi. The author collected 525 organized contexts from the interview, and from the analysis 5 constituents with 34 sub-constituents for North Korean women refugees’ life experience, ‘Entrance to South Korea while embracing unforgettable trauma without alternatives’, ’Facing a whirl of confusion in new society’, ’Loss of meaning for entrance into the South', ’Coping with trauma and distress’, ’Perceived growth after adversity’ were found.
