    This study is aimed at investigating the influence of social welfare education on the identity of social welfare professionals and proposing a curricular direction of colleges. A survey research was conducted on social welfare department students of K Cyber University in Seoul from November 20 to 30, 2007, and the SPSS ver 13.0 was used to process statistical data. Regarding social welfare education, the study results found that the policy and system were biggest factors influencing the identity of social welfare professionals. In particular, they had a big effect on the professional organization, self-regulations and autonomy. Therefore, it needs to improve education contents and methods in the policy and system areas so that students can strengthen their professional identity.
