민주화 이후 호남의 소지역주의 = 19대 총선에서 전북 지역을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 민주화 이후 실시된 한국의 선거에서 가장 중요한 요인으로 지적되었던 지역주의에 관한 논의에 기반하여, 호남 지역의 소지역주의에 관하여 분석을 시도하였다. 기존 연구들이 동서 간 지역주의에 중점을 둔 것과 달리, 본 연구에서는 호남지역 중 전북 지역에 초점을 맞추어 전북의 지역주의는 광주·전남의 그것과는 차별성을 지닌다고 주장한다. 전북의 경우 역대 국회의원 선거에서 영남에 기반한 정당의 후보자가 당선된 경우도 있으며, 지방선거나 국회의원 선거에서의 비례대표 정당 득표율 또한 광주·전남에 비하여 상대적으로 높게 나타나고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The study analyzes sub-regionalism of Honam district based on ‘regionalism’ which has been pointed as the most important factor of Korea’s election after democratization. While previous studies examine East-West regionalism, this paper focuses on the regionalism of Jeollabukdo in Honam district and emphasizes the difference of Jeolla-bukdo from Gwangju and Jeolla-namdo. In the case of Jeolla-bukdo, there are instances that the candidates of Youngnam district won the election of members for the National Assembly, and the polling rate of political party for the proportional representative in the local election or the election of members for the National Assembly was higher than that of Gwangju or Jeolla-namdo province.
