Adalimumab에 의해 역설적으로 발생한 사르코이드증 1예 = A Case of Paradoxical Cutaneous Sarcoidosis Induced by Adalimumab

Adalimumab is a recombinant human IgG monoclonal antibody, which selectively blocks tumor necrosis factor-α and has been used for the treatment of immune-mediated diseases. Sarcoidosis is known as a target of adalimumab but we present a patient who has developed cutaneous sarcoidosis during adalimumab therapy. A 37-year-old man presented with 10-month history of scattered, erythematous nodules on both extremities. He had started adalimumab therapy for ankylosing spondylitis 1.5 year ago. Histopathologic findings showed multiple non-caseating granulomatous inflammations. Radiologic finding was normal. He was diagnosed with paradoxical cutaneous sarcoidosis induced by adalimumab. He stopped adalimumab and treated with intralesional corticosteroid injections.
