베트남 - 중국 간 영토 · 영해 경계 획정의 역사

국문 초록 (Abstract)

중국과 베트남 간의 영토 및 해양경계에 관한 분쟁은 1세기 이상 지속되었으며, 부분적으로는 오늘날까지 해결되지 않은 상태다. 오늘날 전 세계적으로 영토분쟁 사례는 여러 지역에서 찾아볼 수 있는데, 베트남과 중국의 경우는 단순한 경계에 관한 분쟁의 문제를 넘어서 양국 간의 충돌과 긴장의 요인이 되고 있다. 양국 간의 이러한 분쟁상황은 육상에서는 1,400km 에 이르며, 해상경계는 1887년과 1895년에 프랑스와 중국 간에 이미 협약이 체결된 상황임에도 통킹만, 파라셀군도 및 스프래틀리군도에서의 양국간 해양경계에 관한 분쟁은 조만간에 쉽게 해결될 것 같지 않으며, 복잡한 양상을 띠고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The territorial disputes between China and Vietnam on their borders, both land and sea have been lasting for more than one century and remain still partly. Actually, the border issues exist in several countries in the world. But in the case of Vietnam and China, these boundary conflicts, particularly, numerous and complex, are both causes and effects of the conflicts and the tensions between both countries. These disputes encompass both land boundary which extends for 1,400km(more than 800 miles) and sea boundary settled once and for all by Conventions signed of long ago. Two Sino-French Conventions signed in 1887 and 1895. Concerning the maritime issues the gulf of Tonkin, the Paracels and Spratlys archipelagos, this question arose shortly after, complex, for which a solution hasn’t been found yet. This study is devoted to the Sino-Vietnamese border disputes from 1885 to the present.
