수잔 랭거의 무용예술론 연구 = A Study of Susanne K. Lange's Dance-Art Theory

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 미국의 여성 철학자, 수잔 랭거의 무용 예술론을 연구하는 것이다. 연구 방법은 그녀의 예술론에 관한 저서, 3권을 통해 그녀의 무용예술론을 분석하는 문헌연구이다. 3권의 저서는 ①『Philosophy in a New Key: A Study in the Symbolism of Reason, Rite and Art(1942)』, ②)『Feeling and Form(1953년)』, ③)『Problems of Art(1957)』이다. 이 연구는 수잔 랭거의 무용예술론을 2분류하여 연구하였다. 이는 다음과 같다. 1. 수잔 랭거의 예술론. 1) 예술의 상징: 절제된 감정 이미지. 2) 예술의 창조: 미적 경험과 내재적 감정의 상징 탐구. 2. 수잔 랭거의 무용예술론. 1) 무용가의 미적 표현: 몸짓의 상징성. 2) 다이나믹한 생명력: 창조된 몸짓. 수잔 랭거의 무용예술론은 급변하는 현대사회의 문화와 환경 속에서 적용의 한계를 지니고 있지만 지금도 여전히 회자되고 있다. 수잔 랭거의 무용예술론이 현대 무용예술론에 적합하려면 새로운 변화와 보충이론이 필요하다고 사료된다. 복잡하고 다양한 현대 무용을 잘 설명할 수 있는 보편적이고 논리적인 무용예술이론의 등장을 기대한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is to study the Dance-Art Theory by Susanne K. Lange, an American female philosopher. The research method used is a literature study that analyzes her dance-art theory through her three books. The three books are ① Philosophy in a New Key: A Study in the Symbolism of Reason, Rite and Art(1942) ② Feeling and Form(1953) ③ Problems of Art(1957).
This study was conducted by dividing Susanne K. Lange's theory of dance art into two categories. This is as follows. 1. Susanne K. Lange's Theory of Art. 1) Symbols of Art: Images of Understated Emotions. 2) Creation of Art: A symbolic exploration of aesthetic experiences and intrinsic emotions. 2. Susanne K. Lange's Theory of Dance Art. 1) Aesthetic expression of a dancer: symbolism of a gesture. 2) Dynamic vitality: A gesture of creation.
Susanne K. Lange's theory of dance art has limitations in application in the rapidly changing culture and environment of modern society. However, it is still being discussed. In order for Susanne K. Lange's theory of dance art to be suitable for modern dance art theory, new changes and supplementary theories will be necessary considerations. We look forward towards the emergence of a universal and logical dance art theory that can explain a complex and diverse modern dance.
