An investigation of the water quality for the streams of Daejon area in Chung-nam province, korea, was conducted from January to December 1981.
By this analysis of water quality for the streams of Daejon area, annual mean values of BOD: 49.3㎎/l, COD: 33.4㎎/l, DO: 7.5㎎/l, SS: 39.1㎎/l were determined respectively and those values of parameters were comparatively high.
The increasing order of the water pollution for the streams of Daejon area was as follows; confluence place Daewha-Dang (D)> Yudeung Stream (B)> Daejon Stream (A)> Gab Stream (C). Therefore, it suggest that the water pollution of the streams of Daejon area have greatly influenced upon the water quality of Kum River in Chungnam and Jon-buk province.
