호남학 정립과 문화관광에의 활용을 위한 호남학 시청각 아카이브 구축 시론 = A Study on the Construction of Honam Studies Audiovisual Archives

국문 초록 (Abstract)

소홀히 되어온 호남학 연구를 활성화하기 위해서는 연구 자료의 집성과 그 데이터 베이스화, 그리고 문헌 아카이브뿐만이 아니라 그것을 보완하는 시청각 아카이브의 구축이 필요하다. 이러한 아카이브의 구축은 학술적 목적에서뿐만이 아니라 지역문화관광 진흥의 목적에서도 필요한데, 호남의 유수한 문화유산을 기록한 영상물을 아카이브를 통해 제공함으로써 지역 관광산업을 활성화하는 효과를 가져 올 수 있기 때문이다. ‘호남학 시청각 아카이브’를 구축하는 데 있어 지방의 문화유산을 디지털 매체로 기록ㆍ복원하는 프랑스 피카르디 지방의 음향ㆍ시청각 아카이브 ‘피카르디의 생생한 기억’은 좋은 모델이 될 수 있다. 그러나 이 아카이브의 음향ㆍ구술 자료에의 과도한 편중, 인터넷 서비스에서 영상 자료의 부재, 대중의 관심을 끌기 위한 전략 부족은 유의하여야 한다. 호남학 시청각 아카이브의 구축은 1) 연구 자료 분류체계의 마련, 2) 연구 자료의 수집, 3) 자료의 디지털화, 4) 자료의 주제별 조직화 또는 재구성, 5) 인터넷을 통한 서비스의 다섯 단계를 거쳐 이루어져야 한다. 또한 대표 자료집을 만들기 위해 호남지역의 중요 문화원형들을 다큐멘터리로 제작하는 것이 필요하다. 구축된 호남학 시청각 아카이브는 호남학 연구, 지역문화교육, 지역문화의 대중화, 관광산업ㆍ문화콘텐츠산업 발전에 활용될 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

For activating neglected Honam studies, it is required to collect research materials, to make their databases and to construct not only text archives but also their complement, audiovisual archives. The construction of the latter archives is necessary not only for the academic purpose but also to promote the regional cultural tourism. We can revitalize the regional tourism industry by offering audiovisual materials of prominent cultural inheritances through the archives. In constructing 'Honam Studies Audiovisual Archives', 'Memoire Vivante de Picardie', sound and audiovisual archives of French Picardian region which record and restore regional cultural inheritances by digital media is a good model. But excessive preponderance of sound data and oral data, absence of visual data on the internet service and lack of strategies for drawing the public's interest are the problems of these archives. The construction of Honam Studies Audiovisual Archives has to be realized through five steps as follows : 1) preparation of the research data classification system, 2) collection of research data, 3) digitalization of data, 4) reconstitution of data by themes, 5) internet services. For making a representative data collection, it is necessary to produce documentaries about Honam's important cultural archetypes. Honam Studies Audiovisual Archives can be used in Honam researches, regional culture education, popularization of regional culture and developments of tourism industry and of cultural contents industry.
