The purposes of this study are defining the concept of classroom management and clarifying the sphere of classroom management by analyzing textbooks on classroom management which are published in Korea and U.S.A. as well as teacher evaluation table and classroom curriculum management handbook. It is found that there are four different perspectives on classroom management: instructional management, behavior management, making a positive teaching and learning environment, and integrated perspective. This study finds out that the integrated perspective is the one that fits to Korean elementary teacher`s classroom management. It also finds out that elementary teacher`s role should be redefined and clarified in the point of classroom manager in stead of curriculum manger perspective.
