The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the family function and alienation that children perceived.
The result of this study are as follows.
First, separated group showed the most highest family cohesion of family function, and connected group was the next, and disengaged group and enmeshed group showed the least.
Second, children have felt the most alienation from normlessness, nextly social isolation, and powerlessness for the least.
Third, it was shown that there are an interrelationships between alienation and family function. Indeed, when the level of family cohesion and family flexibility was high, children felt less alienation including normlessness, powerlessness and social isolation.
Lastly, by searching the influence of family function to alienation, alienation that children have perceived normlessness, nextly social isolation, and powerlessness was influenced more by family cohesion than family flexibility.
