A study on the host choice of mosquitos (Diptera : Culicidae) to humans and animals = 동물 및 사람에 대한 모기의 기주선택성에 관한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

동물 및 사람에 대한 각종모기의 기주 선택성을 규명하기 위해 1994년 7월과 8월8차에 걸쳐 경남 양산군 동면 소재 동아대학교 농과대학교 부속목장에서 조사한 결과, 2개 아과 4속 10종의 2023개체의 모기가 채집되었으며, Toxorhynchites christophi (광릉왕모기)를 제외한 모든 종의 모기는 기주선택성에서 유의적인 차이를 보였다. 또한, 채집된 모기 개체수에 있어서 Culex pipiens (빨간집모기)를 제외한 다른 종의 경우 기주들 보다 소에서 유의적으로 월등히 많은 개체가 채집되어 모기의 소에 대한 기호성이 높음을 알 수 있었으며, 사람과 동물간의 기호성의 비교 결과 사람에게 보다 다른 동물 기주에서 많은 모기 개체가 채집되어 모기의 동물기호성이 높은 것으로 조사되었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

A study was carried out to investigate the attractiveness mosquito species to humans and 4 other animal species (rat, rabbit, fowl, calf) at a stock farm attached to Dong-A university located on Dong-Myun, Yangsan-Kun, Kyungnam between dusk and 2200 h on 8 occasions in July and August 1994. During the study, 2023 mosquitoes belonging to 10 and unknown species in 4 genera and 2 subfamily were collected. There were overall significant differences between attractiveness of baits for all species of mosquitoes, except Toxorhynchites christophi. Most of mosquito species were more attracted to calf than other baits, except Culex pipiens which is more attracted to fowl than others. Collections were generally higher on animals than man, with calf being the most highly sought-after host.
