    Today it is often said to be an age of uncertainty. Above all, in dometic and international market competition, a company should strive for the technogical innovation, productivity improvement, and cost reduction.
    Recently, MRP has become the dominant methodology for production and inventory management in manufacturing firms. In many problems, to decide the order quantity(lot-sizing) is very important problem in MRP.
    Lot-sizing is concerned with determining the time and mangnitude of orders to statisfy demand.
    The purpose of this paper is to compare the cost performance of lot-sizing rules as demand and lead time fluctuation in MRP.
    The results of this paper show that the best lot-sizing rule is least total cost(LTC) rule in empirial 12 situations.
