This study was conducted to find out the experiences of job overload and job burnout of workers in vocational rehabilitation facilities for the disabled, and to find out the effects of social support and job autonomy in relationships of job overload and job burnout. An online survey was conducted through e-mail and SNS using job burnout, job overload, social support, and job autonomy scale for workers in vocational rehabilitation facilities for the disabled. A total of 212 questionnaires were collected, and based on 211 questionnaires, descriptive statistical analysis, t-test and one-way ANOVA according to demographic characteristics were conducted on job burnout, job overload, social support, and job autonomy. In addition, multiple regression analysis was conducted to examine the effects of job overload, social support, and job autonomy on job burnout, and the mediating effect of social support and job autonomy was analyzed in the relationship between job overload and job burnout. First, as a result of testing the differences in job burnout, job overload, social support, and job autonomy according to demographic characteristics of workers in vocational rehabilitation facilities for the disabled, there were differences in job burnout and job overload, social support and job autonomy depending on the age group, educational background, position, income, and working period of workers. Second, it was found that the autonomy of the work method among the subcategories of job overload and social support, evaluation support, and job autonomy had a significant effect on job burnout. Third, job overload negatively affected social support and job autonomy, and in the end, social support and job autonomy play a role as a protective factor for job burnout. The significance of this study is to examine the experience patterns and conditions of job overload and job burnout of workers in vocational rehabilitation facilities for the disabled, and social support and job autonomy were identified as protective factors in the relationship between job overload and job burnout. These results implicate the need to find ways to reduce job overload in order to reduce and prevent job burnout of workers in vocational rehabilitation facilities for the disabled, and to improve social support and job autonomy to reduce or prevent job burnout within the same work environment. In subsequent studies, it will be necessary to study not only workers in vocational rehabilitation facilities for the disabled, but also job overload and job burnout patterns in various social welfare fields.
