丹陵 李胤永 『山史』의 창작시기․제목․서문 재검토 = On the Date of Composition, Title, and the Preface of Yi Yun-yŏng’s Sansa

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본고는 丹陵 李胤永(1714～1759)의 단양 산수유기집 『山史』의 창작시기와 제목․서문 문제를 재검토한 글이다. 본고의 결론은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 선행연구에서 『山史』의 창작시기를 추정한 것은 사실관계에 어긋나므로, 그러한 추정에 의거하여 ‘원전 『山史』’를 상정하는 일 역시 타당하지 않다. 따라서 본고에서는 『山史』는 1751년 한 해 동안에 창작된 글이 실린 책이며 『단릉유고』에 실린 작품들 중 일부를 작품과 무관한 것으로 보아 제외시켜서는 안 된다고 보았다. 즉 현전 문집에 실린 대로의 『山史』를 완결성 있는 하나의 작품집으로 보았다.
둘째, ‘山史’라는 제목이 산수유기에 대한 일반명사로도 흔히 쓰이는 말이었음을 밝혔다. 이어서 ‘五郡山水紀’는 『山史』의 異稱이 될 수 없지만 ‘丹陵外史’는 『山史』의 異稱이 될 수 있음을 밝혔다.
셋째, 『山史』의 서문으로서 참고 되어야 할 글은 「李胤之丹陵外史序」이며 선행연구에서 「五郡山水紀序」를 『山史』의 서문으로 상정하였던 것은 잘못이었음을 밝혔다. 『山史』를 화이론과 관련된 엄숙한 내용을 담은 텍스트로 봐 온 것은 「五郡山水紀序」를 『山史』의 서문으로 간주한 데에서 연유한 바가 크므로, 이를 바로잡는 일은 『山史』의 객관적 실체를 규명하는 데에 중요하게 작용하리라 본다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper re-examines the date of composition, title, and the preface of 『Sansa』, Yi Yun-yŏng’s travel writing on Tanyang’s natural scenery.
Firstly, I refuted the precedent study’s estimation of the date of composition of 『Sansa』 which indicated that the present form of 『Sansa』 included in 『Tallŭn- gyugo』, Yi Yun-yŏng’s anthology, is different from what it is thought to be the original form of 『Sansa』. I argued here that the precedent estimation of date of composition of 『Sansa』 to be empirically wrong, and the present form of 『Sansa』 should be regarded as the authoritative version.
Secondly, I clarified that the word 『Sansa』 could be used as a general term for travel writings on natural scenery, and testified why 『Ogunsansugi』 is not suitable as another title of 『Sansa』, while 『Tallŭngoesa』 is.
Thirdly, opposed to the precedent study, I argued that Yi Yinsang’s 「Preface of Ogunsansugi」 should not be regarded as a preface of 『Sansa』, while Hong Naksun’s 「Preface of Yi Yunji’s Tallŭngoesa」 can be an useful reference in understanding 『Sansa』. Regarding that accepting Preface of Ogunsansugi as a preface of 『Sansa』 offered incorrect understanding of 『Sansa』 in the light of hua-yi distinction, it is hoped that correcting such an error could help us comprehend objective truth of 『Sansa』.
