국문 초록 (Abstract)

2010년은 한-스페인 수교 60주년이 되는 해이다. 각계에서 60주년 기념 교류행사가 활발하게 진행되는 반면에, 출판계에서는 100년에 달하는 스페인 번역출판의 역사를 갖고 있으면서도 전혀 언급이 없는 관심의 부재를 보이는 형편이다. 더욱이 ‘세계 책의 날’제정배경이 스페인의 출판문화에서 유래된 만큼 한-스페인과의 문화교류에서 출판문화의 교류는 빼놓을 수 없는 분야이자 주요부문이다. 이에, 본연구에서는 한-스페인 간의 출판상황을 더듬어보면서 양국이 처한 출판문화의 좌표에 따라 양국 간의 출판교류 가능 영역을 타진해보는 데 의의를 두고자 한다. 한-스페인 간의 출판교류의 역사는 한국출판연감이 발행된 초창기에 비로소 그 흔적을 보이고 있다. 그러나 국내에 소개된 스페인 문학은 최남선이 발행한 잡지 ≪청춘≫(1915년 1월호)에 작품 ‘돈키호테’와 작가 세르반테스를 소개한 것이 효시라 할 수 있다. 이후에 번역자 양성에 기여한 한국외국어대학의 스페인어학과 설립과 함께 정부와 번역문화원의 지원으로 스페인 번역문학이 활성화되었으나, 한국문학을 스페인어로 번역하여 소개하는 데에는 그다지 괄목할 만한 성과를 보이지 않은 것이 사실이다. 그러나 최근 들어 한국 대중문화의 스페인 파급, 즉 한류의 스페인 착(着)으로 인한 한국어 붐이 일고 있는
현상을 통해 한국 출판문화의 스페인과의 교류에 대한 활성화의 조짐이 일고 있다. 이와 같이 양국 간의 문화적 관심이 제고되는 고무적 현상 앞에 출판문화 교류에 대한 관심을 결코 간과해서는 안될 것이다. 본연구에서는 이와 같은 움직임에 앞서 한국과 스페인의 출판문화 위상을 점검해보고 양국 간의 좌표가 제시하는 출판의 흐름을 간파함으로써 양국 간의 출판문화 교류확장을 위한 정책적 대안 및 출판분야 내의 내적 인프라적 교류에 대한 대안을 결론에 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The year 2010 is a special year for Korea and Spain, because it has been 60 years since both had a treaty of amity. Thus, we can see occasionally some cultural exchange programs this year in various fields. However, publishing field has not shown any exchange programs, although it has been around 100 years since Spanish literature has been introduced in Korea. Spain has had a long history concerned with the publishing culture. April 23rd, which had before been Spanish Book Day, has been legislated and commemorated for ‘The World Book Day’ by UNESCO. This suggests that Spain is a nation with a historic background of publishing culture. That's why we never talk about excluding ‘books’ and ‘publishing’ in cultural exchange between Korea and Spain.
Therefore, I discuss about these topics in this thesis. Especially, Spanish publishers have some concern with Korean books. Because they are faced with a phenomena, - a kind of booming Korean wave (“Hallyu”) relating to the Korean language gradually. This will offer some ideas that may activate the publishing Hallyu in Spain.
In this thesis, I explain the publishing exchange between Korea and Spain from the introduction of ≪Don Quijote≫ in the early 20th century up to some latent new books. To analyze and create publishing indices, I used some statistical data. Through this methodology, I could read the coordinates and phases of Korean & Spanish publishing culture. And then I tried to offer some problems, alternative suggestions, and our tasks, in order to help activate publishing cultural exchange between Korea and Spain.
