사회적 기업의 조직적 특성에 관한 신제도경제학적 고찰 = Organizational Characteristics of Social Enterprise: A New Institutional Economics Perspective

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 최근에 국내외에서 확산되고 있는 사회적 기업의 조직적 특성을 신제경제학적 관점에서 분석함을 목적으로 한다. 사회적 기업은 자발적으로 절제된 소유권, 재화 및 서비스의 생산 및 공급에 있어서 투입요소 소유자들의 기여방식의 다양성, 기업 성과 측정기준의 다원성, 다중이해관계자에 의한 지배구조 등을 조직적 특성으로 한다. 본고는 사회적 기업이 지역을 기반으로 하고 正의 외부효과나 집단재, 혹은 관계재적 성격을 지니는 재화나 서비스를 주로 생산하고 공급하기 때문에 이러한 조직적 특성과 부합도가 높게 된다는 점을 구명한다. 마지막으로 이러한 조직적 특성의 구명에 따른 정책적 함의와 신고전학파 경제학의 가정에 미치는 의미에 대하여 논한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This research examines the organizational characteristics of social enterprise which has received growing attention from practitioners and policy makers but little from economics circle yet. Anchored on new institutional economics, it reveals that social enterprise features voluntarily attenuated ownership, diversity
in the input owners’ expectations from contributing to the production of goods and services, multiplicity in firm performance measure, and multi-stakeholderbased corporate governance. It then argues that the organizational characteristics of social enterprise are well aligned with the production and supply of goods and
services that generate positive externalities and possesses collective or relational traits. Finally, policy implications are also discussed.
